Non-US Citizens

Driver License and ID Cards

Processing options:

Non-U.S. citizens with valid proof of legal presence may be eligible to apply for a Florida Driver License or ID card. Requirements and length of eligibility depend on your legal presence status, such as visa type, permanent residency, or other immigration classifications.

Different legal statuses require different supporting documents. These may include passports, immigration papers, or employment authorization cards, among others. The expiration of your Florida Driver License or ID card will generally align with the expiration date of your legal presence documents.
